Three people were injured in a crash on Highway 30 Friday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 1997 Malibu driven by Keaton Miller, 17, of Blairstown, was northbound on County Road W12 north of Watkins. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign, and the car entered Highway 30, where it was hit broadside by a eastbound 2008 Dodge Caravan minivan driven by Patricia Thompson of Van Horne. Miller was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A passenger in Miller's car, Danny Gasper, 14, was taken by helicopter to University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Thompson went to St. Luke's Hospital by private vehicle. All three were wearing seat belts. The accident remains under investigation.
