4-H provides youth the opportunity to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults. 4-H volunteers are one of the essential elements of ISU Extension’s youth-serving organization.
On Tuesday March 20, at 11:30 amand 6:30 pm, Benton County Extension Office in Vinton 4-H volunteers will gather to “test” their 4-H program recipe and check to make sure the key ingredients and essential elements that go into a healthy, robust 4-H program are included. Soup and salad bar will be provided.
Volunteers will also have an opportunity to share the “special ingredients” they use to spice up their clubs! This experience is part of Iowa State University Extension’s 4-H Youth Development training for certified volunteers in BentonCounty.
Statewide training prepares 4-H volunteers who work with young people in non-formal educational settings to be more effective in promoting positive youth development through the 4-H experience. Effective volunteers provide the experiences and positive relationships that enable 4-H youth to gain the communication, citizenship, and leadership skills they need to be successful now and in the future.
Participants may register by contacting the Iowa State University Extension – of BentonCountyat 319-472-4739
