Residents are advised that the contractor is continuing to remove dangerous trees and hangers from the city right-of-way areas. For the next few days, the contractor will be going north and south on the Avenues west of C Avenue and then continuing to the east-west streets. Residents are asked to be aware when the contractor will be in your area to park cars off the street during the day. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please call Vinton City Hall at 472-4707.

MW March 7, 2012, 1:31 pm Is there an overall schedule? It seems very disjointed how they are doing this. I noticed on some streets they were working real hot and heavy but if you drive down the street they left a lot of red x\'d trees. East 5th east of 8th Avenue is very noticeable.

To me it just doesn\'t make sense to move the equipment in and not complete the job. It disrupts those street more than once. I hate that we have lost so many trees but people, my self included, just want to get this behind them.
kc April 12, 2012, 5:41 pm I noticed today that my neibor\'s tree hangers are down, but i have more than they did and the city has not done a thing about it. I guess it\'s who you are in this town. I just hope they don\'t fall on someone while they are walking under them. Hint Hint
