News : VFW Ladies Auxiliary Unit 8884 of Benton County is Official!

VFW Ladies Auxiliary Unit 8884 of Benton County is Official. Our charter has been signed.

We will be meeting on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the ICAS Building (old West elementary school building), 905 D. Ave. Vinton, Iowa. If any lady in the area would be interested in joining our Auxikliary.

Wives, widows, mothers, foster and stepmothers (who have performed the duties of parent), grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters, foster and stepdaughters (who attained that status prior to age 16) of persons who were or are eligible for membership in The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be Citizens of the United States and not less than 16 years old.

Women eliginle for membership in the VFW shall be eligible for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Your eligibility is through your veteran that served in a combat zone and received combat pay. Please join us and we will support all our Veterans. The Veteran does not have to be a member of the VFW but has to be eligible.

The VFW Post 8884 is always looking for new members as well.

"Honor the dead by helping the living" is our motto for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
