Iowa Workforce Development has partnered with Keystone Schroeder Library, Vinton Library, Newhall Library, Atkins Library and Shellsburg Public Library in BentonCountyto provide virtual workforce services to the area communities. The access points create access to workforce services through a familiar community location.

“The access point system provides Iowans with the opportunity to utilize workforce services in a convenient location close to home,” indicated Iowa Workforce Development director Teresa Wahlert. “With over 600 access points, 16 regional centers and 3 satellite offices we have more than tripled our access for Iowans and we will continue adding locations throughout the year.”

By utilizing current community locations, the department is able to provide cohesive workforce services to a broader audience within local communities not served with a physical workforce office. Individuals can connect with a workforce professional through ( 866) 239-0843 or live chat at an access point. The access technology is available from 8:00 AMto 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 10:00 AMtill 2:00 PMon Saturdays. Staff members will continue to be available from 8:00 AMtill 4:30 PMMonday through Friday within the regional centers and satellite offices.
