News : VS National Honor Society welcomes new officers, honors retiring officers

The VS NHS officers for 2009-2010 were thanked for their service to NHS and the school.

V-S National Honor Society welcomed officers for 2010-2011 during wrap-up May 13..

The Vinton Shellsburg High School Chapter of the National Honor Society had a changing of the guard Thursday evening with a pot luck dinner. Faculty advisor Marsha Furlong said that as a group, the chapter has contributed over 600 hours of service to the Vinton-Shellsburg community.

Newly elected officers are: President, Meghan Owens, Vice President, Shelby Beyer, Treasurer, Allison Emrich, Secretary, Brian Fischer, Executive Committee members Nicole Thompson, Megan Jorgensen, and Katherine Dick.
