News : Benton County Sheriff activity report, arrest log for September 2012

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 285 calls for service and investigated 14 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 219 civil papers and issued 80 traffic citations and 151 traffic warnings.

There were 28 arrests/juvenile referrals with 36 charges being filed in September 2012.

(22) were simple misdemeanors, (9) were indictable misdemeanors, and (5) were felony charges.

Charges included: Arrest Warrants served – 6; Assault – 1; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 5; Interference With Official Acts – 2; Operating While Intoxicated – 6; Drug Related – 1; Public Intoxication – 3; Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age – 8; Theft – 4.
