Every incumbent on the ballot running for re-election in Benton County won on Tuesday, and two Democrats won positions on the Benton County Board of Supervisors.

Unofficial results show that Congressman Bruce Braley, State Senator Tim Kapucian, State Rep. Dawn Pettengill, Sheriff Randy Forsyth, and Auditor Jill Marlow won re-election.

In the supervisors’ race, Democrats Terry Hertle (District 2) and Don Frese (District 3) won their races on Tuesday. For the past decade, all three county supervisors have been Republicans. But incumbents Dave Vermedahl (District 2) and Ron Buch (Disrict 3) chose not to seek re-election. Both Hertle and Frese have run for supervisor in the past; they will take office Jan. 1.
