The Benton County Above The Influence Coaltion is sponsoring a "Teenproof" event to help parents identify signs of drug abuse. This free event takes place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Vinton-Shellsburg High School.

The schedule is as follows:

5:50 p.m. – 6:10 p.m.: Exhibit Open Registration & Tour of “Simulated Teen Room Activity”

6:10 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Welcome Speaker Curt Wheeler, ASAC Prevention Specialist Tobacco, New Drug Trends and Paraphernalia

7 p.m. – 7:40 p.m.: Speaker Detective Mark Phippen. Topic: Activity Answers Marijuana and other Illicit drugs and Paraphernalia

7:40pm- 8:00 pm Question and Answer Session
