News : Fill the Plate: Area shoppers donate at Fareway

In addition to donating money during the "Fill the Plate" telethon event on Sunday, Dec. 2, Iowa residents also helped donate food itmes at stores during the weekend. In Vinton, many area shoppers donated food items at the Vinton Fareway store on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The event is designed to help feed area seniors; the food donated at Fareway will be used at senior dining sites.
