The Benton County Community Foundation (BCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, is announcing a new funding cycle for grants to be awarded in 2013. The application deadline for all 2013 grants will be midnight (CST) on Mar. 15, 2013, with grant awards to be announced in June.
Community Foundation grants can be awarded to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and governmental entities. Grant applications will only be available online this year. Grants applications that are incomplete or that are submitted in hard copy form will not be considered for funding. The applications can be accessed after Dec. 1, 2012, at www.bentonccf.org through the “grants” menu on the website’s home page. Grants can be awarded in seven broad areas of community enhancement. These include: Arts & Culture, Community Affairs & Development, Education, Environment, Health, Historic Preservation, and Human Services.
To address potential questions or concerns regarding the new online application process, a training session for grant applicants will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Blairstown Community Center, located at 305 Locust St NW in Blairstown.
Questions specific to the grant process can be addressed to Tom Wickersham, Program Director, at the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, at (319) 287-9106. Other questions related to the BCCF can be directed to Ranae Becker, BCCF secretary, at 319-472-5545.
