Name: Alex Fleischer

Hometown: San Dimas, Calif.

Alex is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Pine 4 at the Vinton Campus. He chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because he wanted to travel the country while making a difference in people’s lives. He has enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the country while participating in the program.

Alex graduated from Options for Youth Charter School in 2010 and attended Mt. San Antonio College prior to joining NCCC FEMA Corps. After his service term ends he plans to attend a four-year college to earn a degree in psychology with a specialty in youth and young adult mental health.

Alex is a man of many talents. He is passionate about drumming and played the snare in the drumline at San Dimas High School for two years and continues to play at his church several times per year. He also earned his black belt in karate at age 11.
