As part of the celebration of 100 years as a congregation, the Centennial Committee and Congregation Council of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vinton are presenting at least six monthly gifts to charitable organizations in the months leading up to the Centennial Event in June of this year. It was the decision of the Committee to present the January gift to an organization well-represented within the Church. In keeping with that wish, Vinton Fire Department members Chief Gary McKenna and Safety Officer Dennis Bramow, both members of Bethlehem, were presented with a $100 check at church services on January 20. The charity effort is being funded my members of the Church. The Centennial Committee hopes to make the monthly $100 gift a permanent fixture at Bethlehem in remembrance of the Centennial year of 2013.
