News : VSHS Chamber Singers to perform at the Luther College Choral Invitational

The VS Chamber Singers have been invited to the Luther Choral event.

Congratulations to the VSHS Chamber Singers on being selected as one of five ensembles in the region to take part in the Luther College Choral Invitational. Each year, Luther considers hundreds of choirs throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and South Dakota. Looking for musical excellence and high quality character, choral conductors of the Luther College faculty select who they feel represent these qualities. This year, our students have been honored to join ranks with the following schools:

St. Peter HS - St. Peter, Minnesota

Scott Hermanson, conductor

Iowa City HS - Iowa City, Iowa

Greg Grove, conductor

Victor J. Andrew HS - Tinley Park, Illinois

Chris Moan, conductor

Chanhassen HS - Chanhassen, Minnesota

Sarah Gilbertson, conductor

Vinton-Shellsburg HS - Vinton, Iowa

Eric Mohlis, conductor

The festival takes place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther College Campus in Decorah, Iowa. Choirs will join to do two mass pieces together and present a 15-20 minute program of their own.
