VS Band marches with Disney favorites in Electrical Parade

The VS Marching Band joined Disney for its Electrical Parade Saturday night.

The VS Band marches down Disney's Main Street during the Electrical Parade.

Vinton-Shellsburg band members and chaperones have returned from Florida, where the band marched as a featured band in the Saturday "Electrical Parade" on Disney's Main Street USA. Accompanying the band in the parade was a variety of brightly-lit floats representing many of the most famous Disney characters, along with an impressive electric flag honoring America.

RP March 19, 2013, 11:42 am Pamela and I took our 17 year old grandson Bastian to Florida this past week where Bastian met up with some of his friends who are band members. It was a blast to see the excitement in the eyes of the band students and the adults that accompanied them. The band boosters and parents as well as the staff members should be proud of themselves for giving the band the opportunity of a life time, memories they will carry with them their whole lives. Our hats are off to you for all your hard work and dedication in giving the band members this once in a life time trip to the most magical place on earth where dreams really do come true.
