After spending most of 2012 on an 11-month World Race mission project in 11 countries, rural Vinton resident Rose Huber is already making plans to pursue her work in world missions.

Rose plans to enroll in the G42 Leadership Academy, which teaches a variety of aspects of mission work.

"I am raising money to go to G42, which is a Christian program in southern Spain," says Rose. "It is a mix between discipleship, classes, and ministry, and I will be focusing on media while I am there. The program is for six months and after I am finished I want to use media (specifically video) to bridge churches in the west with organizations abroad and persecuted churches around the world.
The full cost of the program is $6300, as well as money for a plane ticket and living expenses."

Rose is raising money for the trip through donations as wel as a chicken noodle soup event Saturday, April 30. The dinner is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Prairie Creek Christian church, which is six miles north of Vinton on Highway 150. We will have homegrown chickens with homemade chicken noodles, and it's going to be delicious! See the event Facebook page HERE.
