Are you tired of the rain?
Vinton-Shellsburg elementary art students are, too.
The students recently made drawings and clay faces to represent the weather, and their opinion of it. One student, Eli Powers, created a face sticking its tongue out at the weather.
Lindsey Otto, who teaches art at both Shellsburg and Tilford Elementary, has posted dozens of photos of the art projects completed by her students on the VS Elementary Art Room Facebook page.
The page already has many followers, and many people are sharing photos with others.
Also, says Ms. Otto, there are plans for the students to share their work during school events.
"This year I am doing small displays at each of the music concerts plus the normal bulletin board and showcase displays," says Ms. Otto. "For example second graders have a concert Thursday and their clay Egyptian cartouches will be on display in the lunchroom during the ice cream social after they sing. The 4th and 1st graders concerts are next week. There will also be a K-4 art show/music concert at Shellsburg next Thursday as well."
