News : Shellsburg American Legion Riders donate to Honor Flight program

Shellsburg American Legion riders line the sidewalk to honor vets at Honor Flight orientation.

The first flight out of Cedar Rapids Iowa for Honor Flight will be June 22, 2010 departing at 7:00 AM.

The orientation for the flight was held Monday evening, June 14, to prepare for the upcoming flight and to brief veterans and guardians on duties and responsibilities.

During the meeting, the Shellsburg American Legion Riders Post 166 presented a check for $1200 to Mike Moran, the chair of Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. The web site is www.eihonorflight.org
