There will be a special event to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association during the races at the Benton County Speedway on Sunday, May 19.

The main promotion is the raffle of the Alzheimer's Association quilt, which includes 14,000 squares. Each of the three-quarter-inch squares represents one caregiver for Alzheimer’s patients in the state of Iowa.

There will also be a silent auction which includes the following (and many more items): - Race Tickets to Iowa Speedway for the Indy Race, courtesy of IMCA - A Race Car Driving Experience at Iowa Speedway, courtesy of the Hasselmann family - A gift basket including a $100 gift card courtesy of Fareway - Gift baskets of organic personal care products and food items courtesy of Aura Cacia and Frontier Natural Products - The child's "bear chair," donated by Sue Dostal - A cookie bouquet courtesy of Jennifer Parr The quilt is in Vinton now.
