Camping Report: On Friday April 26th, 2013: Wildcat Bluff Park, Hoefle Dulin Park, and Hannen Lake Park are open for camping and have dry roads. Our park staff are still reporting some wet roads, but it is a windy weekend. So we have decided that starting the First of May all (including: Rodgers Park, Benton City Park, & Minne Estema Park) campgrounds for Benton County Conservation will be open for business. Season passes are currently being sold at $325 from the Benton County Nature Center or camping parks. Camping rates remained the same this season at $15 or $13 per night for electric depending on the site and $9 for primitive camping. For more information please call 319-472-4942 or email info@bentoncountyparks.com

Fishing & Mushroom Report: It has also been reported that fishing is starting to heat up in the parks for Crappie’s. Moral mushrooms are just around the corner and have been reported a couple counties south of Benton.

Conservation webcam: Many of you have heard of the Decorah eagle webcams, but do you know about the Dickinson County Conservation “Osprey webcam.” Check it out on the following site: http://dickinsoncountyconservationboard.com/2013/03/21/osprey-camera/ There is a new hatchling right now.

ave a great summer season!
