In just one short month, on Saturday, Aug. 3, the Cedar River R.A.T.S. will once again take to the water armed with gloves, buckets, bags and grit!

This is a 100% volunteer based project…with supplies and services donated from our local supporters. We will provide all bags/gloves and buckets for each volunteer, and a shirt will be available for the first 65 volunteers that sign up and register. A homemade lunch will also be provided at our ½ way stop point, at which time we will also offload all of the debris we have collected to that point.

Volunteers are needed on the shore as well as in the water – if you’d like to help, in any capacity, we have room for you!! Just call 319-558-7476.

This year, the R.A.T.S. will be meeting at the Mt. Auburn bridge ramp for a brief sign in and supply disbursement, and we will be on the water and heading towards Vinton @ 9:00 A.M. The entire float, including lunch, should conclude at the Vinton Bridge ramp, with a fantastic lunch served in the middle.

If you have any questions, please call 319-558-7476. And be sure to watch your local media for more information regarding this event! See you on the water!
