Sharon A. Van Norden, 75, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at her home.
Private family graveside will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea, Iowa, at a later date.

Gary W. Kolek, 73, passed away Feb. 16, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospice after an extended illness.
Gary was born Sept. 7, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Wesley and Lilyan (Nodurft) Kolek.
He was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. Gary was married to Martha Jane Sevart on Aug. 11, 1979, in Cedar Rapids.

Honoring Don’s wishes, a memorial visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb 23, 2019 at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. Burial with military honors will be in the Garrison Cemetery in the spring.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb., 16, at First Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine, with Pastor Dean Duncan officiating. Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Barbara Jo Yerkes, 57, of Independence, IA died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, IA.
Barb was born on January 29, 1962 in Vinton, IA, the daughter of Curtis D. and Beverly J. (Rogers) Floyd. She attended the Vinton Community Schools, and later studied at Kirkwood Community College. On November 24, 1979 she married Scott Dean Yerkes in Garrison, IA, and they made their home in Vinton.
