She is survived by her best friend and husband, Gary; her sister, Sonya (Tom) Davis and her children and grandchildren: Kimberly (Ed) of Wichita; Sylvan (Erin), Connor and Graham of Chicago; Andrew Shank of Lawrence, Kansas; Shawn (Dwyn) Thudium of Wichita; Valerie Thudium, of Kansas City, Kansas; Stephanie (Jeff) Basham and Tate of Wichita; Renee (T) Sweetwood and Grant of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Megan Sweetwood of Wichita; Andrea (Don) Dettke; and Lauren, Kimberly, Evan and Drew of Denver, Colorado.

  Leland F. Beneke Leland F. Beneke, 90, of Des Moines, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at Scottish Rite Park. According to his wishes, his body was donated to Des Moines University.

  Willis Bertram Daugherty passed away after a short illness on Dec. 21, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, with his family at his side.

VINTON:  Jack L. Spencer, 75, died Wednesday evening, December 21, 2011 at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following an extended illness.
