Obituaries : Donah Leah Clausen

Donah Leah Clausen, age 71, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday August 1, 2013 at St. Stephen’s LutheranChurchin Atkins with Rev. David Rempfer officiating. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Shellsburg. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday at St. Stephen's LutheranChurchin Atkins. A memorial fund has been established.

Donah was born on February 25, 1942 in Caledonia, MN, the daughter of Don and Nira (Sadler) Harris and graduated from PostvilleHigh Schoolin 1960. On August 21, 1965, she was united in marriage to George Clausen at St. PaulLutheranChurchin Postville.

Donah worked as a beautician and barber in Atkins for several years and owned and operated Donah's Corner Cut in Newhall until her retirement. She was a member of St. Stephen's LutheranChurchin Atkins and had served on the Atkins Library Board. She also enjoyed membership in several women's card clubs.

Donah is survived by her husband George Clausen; her son Larry Clausen and her grandchildren, Lindsey and Logan Clausen, all of Atkins; her brothers, Jim (Marlene) Harris of Atlanta, GA and Richard (Kayla) Harris of Postville and her sisters, Pam Livingood of Postville, Denise Small of Anoka, MN and Deb (Kevin) Schultz of Postville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
