BELLE PLAINE:

 Luke William “Squeak” Heitmann, 34, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at his mother’s residence in Amana following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone with Don Drahos officiating.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home in Keystone.  A memorial fund has been established for Genesis Development in Belle Plaine.

Luke was born October 24, 1980 to Gale and Susan (Walton) Heitmann in Cedar Rapids, and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1999.  He was an avid sports fan especially for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs.  He loved to fish and was known for his excellent sense of humor.

Luke is survived by his mother, Sue Heitmann of Amana, his father, Gale Heitmann of Keystone; his brother, Will Heitmann of Keystone; his grandmother, Edna Heitmann of Keystone; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carol and George Walton, Jr.; his paternal grandfather, Elmer Heitmann; great uncle Phil Olmstead, and uncle Kenny Walton.
