Glenn Manderscheid, 63, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Luke’s Unity Point Hospice following an extended illness.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Newhall with Father Mike Mescher as Celebrant. Interment will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery near Newhall. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton. A memorial fund has been established.
Glenn was born September 24, 1952 at Maquoketa to Orville and Marie (Ryan) Manderscheid and graduated from Wahlert High School in Dubuque, and later attended college.
On August 2, 1986 he was united in marriage to Anne Rinderknecht at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.
Prior to his retirement, Glenn was employed at an area car-wash.
In addition to his wife, Anne, he is survived by his brothers, Eldon (Judy) Manderscheid of Zwingle, Roger (Judy) Manderscheid of Antioch, IL, and Duane (Mary) Manderscheid of Vadnais Heights, MN; his sister, Carol (Gary) Ernst of Asbury; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gerald Manderscheid; and his sister, Ardis Cobar.
