Philip A King

CEDAR RAPIDS: Philip A. King, 65 of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Vinton died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth Street in Vinton with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in the Urbana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM Tuesday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 39-2 of Cedar Rapids or the Cedar Valley Humane Society.

Philip was born February 6, 1950 in Vinton, Iowa to Jack and Mary King. He graduated from high school and worked as a self-employed construction worker. Philip enjoyed running his construction business, riding motorcycles and hanging out with his friends.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Jennifer) Hughes; his daughter, Trisha (Hayden) Bauer and his two brothers, Peter and Russell King.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents.
