Obituaries : Brenda L. Motto

VINTON: Brenda L. Motto, 69, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Virginia Gay Hospital following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home. A Memorial Fund has been established for the American Heart Association. Brenda was born August 2, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland to Rex and Flora (Bowen) Aldao. On March 21, 1966 she was united in marriage to Andy Motto at McConnell, West Virginia. Brenda enjoyed fishing, card clubs, playing with her grandchildren, traveling, driving her golf cart and helping other people. She is survived by her husband, Andy of Vinton; her children, Mike (Carrie) Motto of Marion and Maria Motto of Vinton; her grandchildren, Jordan, Elijah, and Jayce; and her sister-in-law, Bertha (John) Pohlmann of Vinton.
