Van Horne"”Terri Stout, 59, died Friday, March 2, 2018 following a sudden illness. A memorial visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home, Vinton. Terri was born August 17, 1958 in Vinton to Ted and Lola Johnson Usher. She graduated from Washington High School in Vinton. On April 29, 1983 she married Gerald Stout in Vinton. Terri worked as a homemaker and a cook most of her life and most recently at the Depot in Van Horne. She enjoyed traveling and gardening but her greatest enjoyment came from her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, Van Horne; children, Christi (Nathan Blair) Usher, Hiawatha, Elizabeth (Shane Streeter) Stout, Urbana and Joseph Stout, Van Horne, six grandchildren, Tayten, Zeb, Zoe, Waukeen, Sarah and Gunner; five sisters, seven brothers; special family, Lisa and Ron Arbuckle and Kevin and Jamie Evans and many others. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. A memorial fund has been established. Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home is caring for Terri and her family.
