CEDAR RAPIDS:  Jacqueline (Jackie) Ann Boddicker-Hilmer, age 66, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at IC University Hospitals and Clinics from organ failure while awaiting a kidney/liver transplant. Jackie was born on July 15, 1952 in Vinton, the daughter of Virgil and Nancy (Burkhart) Boddicker.  She graduated from Washington High School in Vinton with the class of 1970. She served her country in the United States Army from 1972 through 1978 and furthered her education in nursing.  Jackie worked at several hospitals and the VA until her first liver transplant in January 1995 that forced her early retirement from nursing. On July 13, 1999, she was united in marriage to Marshall Hilmer in Shellsburg.  Jackie cherished her children and grandchildren. She was the definition of a grandmother. Jackie also loved to antique shop, spend time with family and doing crossword puzzles. Her smile was big as her heart and her spirit unmeasurable. Jackie has cut the ribbons to this world, her pain and suffering are no more, she’s in the loving arms of her mother. Jackie is survived by her husband, Marshall, her children, Crystal (Nick) Stefani of Avon, IN and Jeremiah Graves of Cedar Rapids; 3 stepchildren, Selena (Mark) Bahr of Dysart, Bill (Kailyn) Hilmer of Roseville, MN and Abby (Paige) Hilmer of Urbandale; 6 grandchildren, Mariah, Micah, Molly, Jacob, Alexandra and Jaxon; 4 step grandchildren, Jacob, Lane, Vincent and Zach; 3 brothers, Steven, Donald (Renee) Boddicker of Vinton and David (Diane) Boddicker of Antioch, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
