Megan Papesh, 28, passed away on September 23rd, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, Megan was the daughter of Claude and Deborah Papesh. She graduated from Benton Community High School. Megan was employed at People Ready where she worked as the Assistant Manager and is described by her co-workers as “Family, a sweet, smart, extremely knowledgeable and the “go-to-person" for her branch. Megan was truly full of life. She enjoyed attending the races at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA with her mom, dad and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, loving on and taking care of her rowdy but sweet Percy Cat, spending time tending to her flower garden and was proud of all her accomplishments in life. When God made Megan, he made an extra special soul.  Megan had a heart of gold.  She will be remembered for her incredible ability to see the good in all people with a goal to always help others. Anyone who knew Megan knew she was the sweetest, kindest, most loving and caring person who was always a breath of fresh air to be around and lit up everyone’s lives around her.  Megan had the most beautiful big brown eyes full of love and life and a smile to match.  Anyone near her long enough, would have a good laugh from her natural sense of humor and wit, she had the best personality.  Megan was so beautiful inside and out and loved deeply by so many people. She was taken far too early from this earth and will be missed and loved by so many but never ever forgotten. Megan is survived by her grandmother, Jeanne Steinke; parents, Claude and Deborah Papesh of Newhall, IA, her sister, Anna Papesh; beloved, Kenneth Franklin, Whitney Forman, aunts and uncles, Dennis and DeAnn Steinke; Donald and Michele Steinke; Jim and Deanne Thompson; Doug Steinke; Sharon Duchacek; Alfred Papesh Jr.; Tami and Kevin Votrobeck; Bill Carter and fiance, Kim Kress;  cousins, Nicole Steinke; Amanda Steinke and her fiancé Chelsea Buss, Doug Thompson and Jimmy Thompson, Carrie Carter; Cassie Carter; Andrea Jurgens; Becca Jurgens; Jennifer Papesh; Adam Papesh; and many of her dear friends there is not nearly enough space to list all of you... you know in your hearts whom you are. Megan loved each of you and all of us in her own sweetest loving Megan way. Megan was preceded in death by Dorothy Papesh, June Papesh, Alfred Papesh Sr., Wayne Steinke, Judy Papesh  A loving service will be held for our dear daughter, sister, friend and family at 2 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Long Branch Hotel and Convention Center, 90 Twixt Town Road, Cedar Rapids.  It will be held in the beautiful Grand Ballroom.  If you would like please bring with you a written memory of Megan to be shared.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa Donor Network.
