Obituaries : Beverly “Bev” Ann Coffey

Beverly “Bev” Ann Coffey, 77, of Vinton, Iowa, formerly from Illinois (Stonington, Decatur and Taylorville) passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Virginia Gay Rehabilitation Center, Vinton, Iowa. Funeral service to celebrate and honor Bev’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bev will be laid to rest in Bethany Cemetery, Edinburg, IL. Memorial contributions may be directed to Virginia Gay Rehabilitation Center. Bev was born on September 13, 1941 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Ralph W. and Mary G. (Bulpitt) McKenzie. Bev married and divorced Harold L. Coffey formerly of Stonington, IL (preceded her in death on February 2, 2004). Bev was a very friendly, funny and loving person that enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a selfless person that deeply loved her family. Surviving are her sons: Wesley H. Coffey and partner Angie Pittman of Shawnee, OK, Robert (Bob) E. Coffey and wife Lisa Ann of Davenport, IA, Brian L. Coffey and wife Robin of Crystal Lake, IL; daughter: Mary R. Kearns and husband Doug of Garrison, IA; brother: Kevin McKenzie and wife Lisa of Naples, FL; half-sister: Amy Graham and husband David of Taylorville, IL; nephews: Michael Brown of Moweaqua, IL and Curtis Brown and wife Melissa of California; 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, and 14 great grandchildren.
