Stephanie Adam, 23 died Thursday, February 21, 2019 following a sudden illness while at work. Visitation will be from 2 – 6 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth Street in Vinton. Interment will be held at a later date. Stephanie was born June 23, 1995 the daughter of Steve Adam and Melissa Lancaster in Memphis, Tennessee. Stephanie graduated from Vinton Shellsburg High School with the Class of 2013. She devoted herself to her children and loved spending time with her family. Stephanie was a lover of all animals especially her basset hound. She recently had decided to go back to school to be a Vet Tech. Stephanie loved everything pink, she was always the life of the party and brought a smile to everyone's face that she came in contact with. She was a strong woman that never gave up and kept striving to move forward with her life. She was always there for all.
Stephanie is survived by her children, Roman and Atlanta McNeal of Vinton and their father, Nate McNeal and his children, Kaden and Maddy; her father, Steve (Sherry) Adam of Vinton; her sister, Brittany (Kevin) Heiter of Vinton and Brittany’s step-daughter, Addison; her step-brothers, Ryan and Luke Ross of Cedar Rapids; her step-sister, Wendy Buchanan of Louisiana; her grandparents, Ray Kelsey and Karen Kelsey; her uncle, Craig Adam of Louisiana; her step-uncle, Rod Ross of Cedar Rapids and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Melissa Lancaster; her paternal grandparents, Mary Kellogg and John Adam.
