Deborah A. Peters, age 62, of Belle Plaine passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care Center after a short courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A Celebration of Life Service and Inurnment will be held in the spring of 2022 at the Marengo Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
Deb is survived by her husband Steven of Belle Plaine, her mother Elizabeth Brandon of Marengo; two brothers Robert (Mary) Brandon of Millersburg, and Jeffrey (Peggy) Brandon of Marengo; two nieces Michelle Ayers of Nashua, and Lisa (Ricky) Vargas of Marengo; two nephews Doug (Brittney) Brandon of Des Moines, and David (Lindsey) Brandon of North Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert "Bob" Brandon in 2005, her mother-in-law Judith Peters in 2017; and a brother-in-law Tim Peters in 2006.
Deborah Ann Brandon was born September 1, 1959, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Robert L. and Elizabeth A. White Brandon. She graduated from Amana High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Steven Peters on July 18, 1980, at the First United Methodist Church in Marengo. Deb worked as an assembler in the door foam department at Amana Refrigeration for 41 years, retiring in January of 2021. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. Deb was known for her biscuits and gravy and was always up for trying new and different recipes. She enjoyed going to Meskwaki Bingo and Casino, always seeming to win. Deb especially enjoyed being around her family and her two dachshunds Lily and Daisy.
