Billie Josephine Bland Tubaugh
You soared for 97 years.
Born September 6, 1924,
This world you've filled with cheers.
From the Mouth of Seneca, West Virginia
Was your early start.
World War II sent you to Washington
To do your patriotic part.
There at a New Year's Eve Dance
You met your one true love.
Roy L. Tubaugh, a Navy man,
Was sent to you from God above.
Marriage happened in 1946,
To Belle Plaine in '49 you came.
Belle Plaine Livestock Auction and 3 daughters
Were part of your life and family fame.
The years have gone so swiftly by
With many joys and tears,
December 11 you slipped away
Now heaven is filled with cheers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria Feuerbach, Keystone, IA, Roberta Kinsinger (Robert), Manhattan, KS; five grandchildren, Shannon (Jennifer) Feuerbach, Keystone, IA, Taryn (Beau) Beville, New Bern, NC, Travis (Lindsay) Kinsinger, Manhattan, KS, Jessie (Kyle) Martin, Broomfield, CO, and Austin Kromer, Coralville, IA; eight great-grandchildren, Preston Feuerbach, Hunter, Christian and Aralynn Beville, Hesston and Violet Kinsinger, Weston and Savannah Martin. She is also survived by her sister Judy Sponaugle who is 99 years old and son-in-law Steve Kromer of Arlington, VA.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; daughter, Irma Jo Kromer; grandson, Cameron Feuerbach; son-in-law, John Feuerbach; her parents, Byron and Erma Bland; three brothers, Harper, Byron Jr. and Tom Bland; and her sister, Shirley Yokum who lived to be 100 years and 8 months.
Our mother was a resident for 31 months in an Assisted Living Apartment in the Keystone Care Center in Keystone, IA. Our family was so blessed that she was residing here during the long Coronavirus shut out. The love, compassion and concerns for all of her needs were so heartfelt that it gave us some solace even though we lost so many precious moments with her. When the dreaded broken hip occurred just as it had with her sister Shirley, we were also blessed to have the Essence of Life Hospice for her care.
Messages of support and fond memories can be sent to Gloria Feuerbach, Roberta Kinsinger or Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeal Service, Belle Plaine. IA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Belle Plaine Ambulance and Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
