Juanita Louise (Carlisle) DeNeut, daughter of James and Goldie Carlisle, was born on July 20, 1932, in Waterloo, Iowa. Juanita stepped into eternity on December 15, 2021, in Lebanon, Missouri.
Juanita was married on September 1, 1950, in LaPorte City, Iowa, to the love of her life, Jack DeNeut and to their union was born two children, Michael and Jackie. They were married sixty-eight years before Jack passed from cancer on May 4, 2019. Her life was never the same again, and she counted the days until they could be united once again.
Juanita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending sporting events, and traveling on numerous vacations. Juanita enjoyed old classic movies, westerns, sweet tea and chocolate. Elvis was her favorite singer, yet that did not stop her from enjoying other musicians of her day. Music brought her joy, reminded her of her fondest memories and transported her from the golden years to her days of youth. Her favorite Gospel song was "In the Garden" and when she heard the lyrics, she felt as if the words were speaking right to her, Juanita went to Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in West Plains before her health prevented her from attending.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband; her father, James Carlisle; and her mother, Goldie Kipp.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Jackie Douglas and son-in-law, Carl of West Plains; her son, Michael DeNeut of Alaska; her three grandsons, Lucas Douglas (Amanda), Nathan DeNeut (April) and Brent Douglas; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Crystal Anderson; her brother, Craig Kipp; many nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial service for Juanita at a later date.
Memorials contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
