Linda Sanders, 69, of Shellsburg, Iowa, formerly of Atkins, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022. A visitation will be held from
2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service
in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held at the Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Cedar Rapids. A livestream of the memorial service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Linda, under "photos and videos or media," starting at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
Linda was born Oct. 18, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Wheeler) Blozvich. She graduated from Prairie High School, Class of 1971. Linda was united in marriage to Dennis R. Sanders on May 16, 1970, in Cedar Rapids. She worked for Rockwell Collins for over 30 years until her retirement in 2017. Linda enjoyed league bowling and crafting. She was an animal lover, especially her beloved Shih Tzu Maverick. Above all else, Linda loved hanging out with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Dennis Sanders of Shellsburg; children, Rebecca (Bryan) Coffman of South English, Iowa, Scott Sanders (Michelle Ries) of Manchester, Iowa, and Traci (James) Lewis of Atkins; grandchildren, Ashley (Ralph) Brown, Lindsey Sanders (Todd Pender), Travis Lewis, Breann Coffman, Brooke Coffman, Zach Fisher, Brayden Sanders and Ben Coffman; seven great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Blozvich; and sister-in-law, Patty Kruckenberg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Blozvich; sister, Brenda Mason; brother-in-law, Ken Sanders; in-laws, Donald and Janice Sanders; and brother-in-law, Gene Kruckenberg.
Memorials may be directed to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
