Obituaries : Ian Ernest Schrage

Ian Ernest Schrage, 36, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday at

the funeral home. A reception will be held after the service at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood.

Ian was born April 12, 1985, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ernest and Lori (Crow) Schrage. He graduated from Prairie High School and went on to attend Kirkwood Community College. Ian was united in marriage to Ashley Peery on Oct. 3, 2009. He worked for CRST from 2014-2021, and most recently worked for Lytx. Ian loved watching the Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox. He had a passion for cooking, drawing and bowling - achieving two perfect 300 games.

Survivors include his children, Brianna and Zoey Schrage, both of Cedar Rapids; parents, Ernie and Lori Schrage of Cedar Rapids; wife, Ashley Schrage; sister, Nicole Schrage of Cedar Rapids; grandparents, Orville and Joann Schrage of Vinton, and Rose Crow of Cedar Rapids; special friend, Debb Kent; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dan Crow; and aunt, Pam Crow.
