Obituaries : Warren Carl Anderson

Warren Carl Anderson, 94 died on February 12, 2022, at his home in Grinnell, Iowa.

Warren was born March 30, 1927, on the family farm in rural Vinton. The son of William and Cora Anderson the eighth of ten children born to this union.

He received his education from his life experiences, country, and Vinton schools.

In 1949 he married Lorrene Fennern to which a son Steven, and daughter Colleen were born. After 29 years the marriage ended.

On January 17, 1979, Warren married Patricia Dixon Meredith.

Warren was a farmer most of his life. He took great price in farming. Retiring in 1984 he moved to California and then to Arizona.

He enjoyed dancing and would dance every weekend. He also enjoyed the companionship of many of his dogs.

Warren is survived by wife Patricia, daughter Colleen Forristall of Sarasota, Florida, grandson David Forristall and granddaughter Tonaleen (Guye) Kelley a great-granddaughter Emmaleen Rose and great-grandson Scott Jamison of California. He is also survived by stepchildren Paula (Kyle) McCuen of Montezuma, Michael Meredith of Centerville, David Meredith of Manchester, Janice Jones of Reinbeck, and Steven and Carol Daniels of Grinnell, 17 nieces and nephews and spouses, nine step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Steven Anderson as well as siblings Ivan, Mabel, Dorothy, Glenn, Forrest, Howard, Irene, Lucille, and James, and four nephews.

Warren's remains have been cremated with a memorial planned at a later time.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.
