Milo Dale Fisher, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away April 18, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Milo Dale was born October 22, 1936 to Milo Marcus and Maude (Jacobi) Fisher in Belle Plaine, IA. Dale graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1955. He started his career at Amana Refrigeration before enlisting in the U.S Army in 1957, traveling around Washington D.C. serving as President Eisenhower's Honor Guard. In 1959 Dale returned from his service and went back to work for Amana Refrigeration. On September 5, 1959 Dale married JoAnn Seda at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier, IA. The couple moved to Tennessee in 1969 following Dale's career, where he supervised Amana's microwave line and owned and operated Fisher's Gun Shop. Upon retirement in 1981 Dale and his family moved back to Iowa, where they settled in Belle Plaine returning to the same home, they started in. Dale went to work for Roth Appliance in Belle Plaine from 1981-1988. During this time, he took up farming and opened Iowa Pheasants N More Hunting Lodge in 1996.

Dale was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, trapping, and fishing. Taking yearly trips to Leach Lake, MN and Canada, where he would always catch the biggest fish. He had a love for nature, riding around farms and gravels roads listening to Willie's Roadhouse. His favorite spot being his cabin on the Iowa River. When Dale wasn't outside, he could be found at the casinos, gambling or enjoying Fried Cat Fish at the buffets, from Meskwaki Casino in Tama to the Stardust Casino in Vegas.

Most of all, "Papa", as they called him, had a love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his hunting dogs, Ginger, Rex, Homer, Scout and Charlie.

Dale was a member of the Belle Plaine American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, JoAnn of Belle Plaine; children, Shelly (Doug) Yanecek of Cedar Rapids, Eric (Julie) Fisher of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Weeda, Katilyn (Malik) Eskridge, Drew Yanecek and Sydney Rogers; great-grandchildren, Rogan, Isaiah, Mateo and Israel; brother-in-law, Rollie (Mary) Seda of Clutier; sister-in-law, Lana Ray of Red Oak; foster sister, Margaret Ann (Steve) Short of the Ozarks; and many more family and friends.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna (Dee) Roth; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Martha) Seda and Larry Ray.
Service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine with Russ Spading officiating.

Service will also be livestreamed through the funeral service Facebook page. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine with Military Honors.
