Patricia Ann Nolan, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. A scripture service will begin at 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home led by St. Mary Parish Life Coordinator, Marcia Reilly. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery near Van Horne.

Pat was born on April 25, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Bart and Blanche (Maher) Nolan, and graduated from Van Horne High School in 1963. She had an over 30-year career in the banking industry which included working at Guaranty Bank & Trust in downtown Cedar Rapids and Community Savings Bank in Robins, Iowa. In retirement, she also hosted at the Long Branch. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Church in Cedar Rapids. Pat always greeted everyone with a warm smile and was cherished by her friends and family for her wonderful sense of humor and love of all things Irish. She enjoyed large family gatherings, music, dancing and exercising.

Pat is survived by her sister Mary K Rippel (Nolan) and several nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Jim Nolan (Betty), Bonnie Hayek (Frank) and brother-in-law Bill Rippel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Phillips Funeral Home.

KT October 22, 2022, 9:34 pm My deepest sympathy to you Mary. Your last family member and little sister. Haven't seen Patty since the Van Horne days. I remember her as a sweet and kind person, and used to see her at Bonnie's beauty shop when I cleaned her hair brushes for her--when she let me!!
