Obituaries : Kevin Lee Mohler

Kevin Lee Mohler, 61, of Marion died Monday, March 6, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with stomach cancer.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation is caring for Kevin and his family.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri; 3 daughters, Nicole Mohler (Adam Diaz) of Marion, Casey (Jonathan) Fasselius of Marion and Jacklyn (Joseph) Tallerico of Shellsburg; grandchildren, Riley and Teddy Diaz, Waylon Fasselius, Felix and Sylvia Tallerico; sister, Karen (Thomas) Sauerbry; and cousin, Brenda Peel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kevin was born on March 8, 1961 in Burlington, son of Don "Moose" and Laima (Bruzitis) Mohler. He graduated in 1979 from Kennedy High School. On July 17, 1982, Kevin married Terri Frazier in Cedar Rapids.  Most recently, he worked for the City of Cedar Rapids in solid waste collection. 

Kevin enjoyed hunting and going to the shooting range. He liked to participate in 5K races all over Eastern Iowa, and annually attended the Iowa State Fair. He was a huge foodie and always enjoyed going to a new restaurant.  But mainly, Kevin loved spending time with his five grandkids, who were his pride and joy.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
