Obituaries : Robyn Geiger Winterroth

Robyn Geiger Winterroth, 60, of Vinton, passed away peacefully Monday, July 17, 2023, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, with Chaplain Brian Reeves officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton.

On February 21, 1963, Robyn was born in Vinton, the daughter of Larry and Imogene (Flatberg) Geiger. She attended school in Vinton. Robyn was a CNA providing in-home health care. She was united in marriage to Koby Merchant on July 30, 1983. The couple later divorced. She then married Rusty Winterroth whom she divorced but remained good friends with.

Robyn had many "loves", but at the top of the list were flower gardening, watching sports, decorating for Halloween and spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Robyn's memory are her ex-husband and best friend, Rusty Winterroth; sons: Skyler Merchant, Justin (Ellis Denson) Winterroth, Chase (Taylor) Merchant and Dillon (Hanna Pavao) Winterroth; daughter, Tiffany (Travis Boyles) Merchant; grandchildren: Patience, Jaxson, Rainy, Jaylyn, Zayne, Annabel, Dean III, Knox, Oakley, Savannah, Remi and one on the way; sisters: Deb (Bruce) Smith and Shelly (Chris) Hissong; sister-in-law, Kryss Geiger; ex-husband, Koby Merchant; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Preceding Robyn in death were her parents; brother, Lenny; sister, Gina; nephew, Brian; special friend, Lisa Kofoed; and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial fund has been established.
