Obituaries : Lucille Dunlavy

Lucille Dunlavy, 101 years passed away August 2, 2023, in Council Bluffs, la. She was born January 2, 1922, to the late Roy and Eulalia Dunlavy, in Raymond, SD. Lucille graduated from the Iowa School for the Blind in Vinton Ia., in 1942. She was a longtime resident of Council Bluffs and worked for Howard Manufacturing and Skinner Macaroni Company with 37 years of service, retiring in 1987. Lucille was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and then Northwest Christian Church in Council Bluffs. She also volunteered at Radio Talking Book and Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Lucille was preceded in death along with parents; siblings, Arthur Dunlavy, Jean Ridgway and Isabel Regan. She is survived by many nieces and nephew and many other family members and friends.

Visitation starts Monday 10 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. all at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment Lewis Township Cemetery. Memorial to the Northwest Christian Church.
