Yesterday's
Let me tell a little story
as best I can recall
of a childhood and a family
when this lad was mighty small.

Let me say that we were happy
on the farm those many years ago,
or my brothers and my sisters
memories that glow.

I'd dreamed of a world of places
And of stars up in the skies
And of time when I get old…
And how to say goodbye.

But the words that don't come easy.
They're kind of hard to say,
When your yesterdays surround you
And you know you've had your day.
