Jerry Lee Usher, 81, passed away at his residence Wednesday, September 20, 2023, following a brief illness. Private family services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Jerry and his family.

Jerry was born April 2, 1942, in Center Point, the son of Levitt "Ted" and Lola Mae (Johnson) Usher. He attended school in Center Point and Vinton. Jerry was self-employed as a carpenter for Jerry Usher Construction. In 1989, Jerry met the "love of his life", Mary. Together they made their home in Benton County.

In his leisure time, Jerry enjoyed being a Boy Scout leader, gardening, mushroom hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

Jerry is survived by his sons: Jim (Terri) and Jay (Anne); granddaughters: Kristen (Brandon), Jamie (Tyler), and Kelsey (Rich); grandson, Lucas; three great-grandchildren; significant other, Mary; honorary children: Bret (Cora) and Shelly (Randy); honorary grandchildren: Brent (Jenni) and Garrett (Erica); four honorary great-grandchildren; five brothers: Butch, Theodore, Kenneth, LeRoy, and Bob; and four sisters: Pat, Margaret, Joann, and Vicki.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Jim, Don, and Rod; three sisters: Betty, Marcia, and Terri; and honorary great-grandson, Banks.
