Obituaries : DeAnn Lynn Miller

DeAnn Lynn Miller 63, of Waterloo, died Monday January 22, 2024, at Unity Point Allen Hospital, under the care of Unity Point Hospice.

She was born August 15, 1960 in Waterloo, daughter of Charles and Delores Puhl Steiner. She was educated in the Waterloo school system.

She married Mark Miller on February 18,1980 in Gilbertville, Iowa

DeAnn was employed as an office manager at Channel Communications.

DeAnn's focus was her family. The only thing that topped the birth of her three boys, was the birth of her granddaughter, Madison. She wore the "granny" badge with excitement and pride. She was always up for a concert and spending time with friends and family, but her true calling and passion was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Mark; three sons, Luke (Carley) Miller of Abilene, Kan., Timothy (Erin) Miller of Vinton and John Miller of Waterloo; 3 grandchildren; her mother, Delores Steiner of Waterloo; sisters, Lisa Steiner of Waterloo, Michelle (Shane) Booher of Montpelier, Ind. and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.

DeAnn is preceded in death by her father, Charles; two brothers, Michael and Timothy Steiner; grandparents, Charles and Maggie Steiner and James and Mildred Puhl; and in-laws, Ray and Bonnie Miller.

Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 29, at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway Ave. Private family burial will take place at Mt Olivet Cemetery following the services. Public visitation from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday January 28 at the funeral home.
