Obituaries : Tommy James Thomas

Tommy James Thomas was tragically taken away on April 2nd, 2024 due to injuries received from a motor vehicle accident.

Tommy was born to Robert and Donna Thomas on August 31st, 1971 in Monticello, Iowa.

Tommy received his HVAC degree at Kirkwood Community College. Tommy worked a variety of jobs. Tommy started at Cornell College in January 2019 as a maintenance technician. He loved his job and co-workers. He was always the first to work and the first to leave.

Tommy's favorite time of the year was when football started. He was a die hard fan of the Hawkeyes and Steelers!

His favorite dog breed was a Shih Tzu. In the last month, Kierra and Kylee helped him pick out Baxter. And now we get to love him and watch him grow.

Tommy is survived by his two daughters, Kierra and Kylee and puppy son, Baxter. His girlfriend, May and bonus son, Theodore. His brother, Troy, and father, Robert. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna and his grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Tommy on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 from 1pm-4pm at Wildcat Golf Course, 100 Wildcat Trail, Shellsburg, Iowa, 52332.

Tommy you will be missed! Rest in Peace.
