Rosemary Ransom Nuki, 83 passed away May 4, 2024, following a courageous battle of cancer, surrounded by family at her home in Salinas, California. Burial will be at a later date, with a celebration of life to be shared with her husband Mas, who preceded her in death in 2021.

Rosie was the daughter of Herbert M. and Leona (Nelson) Ransom. She grew up in Van Horne, Iowa, graduating with the class of 1959 at Van Horne High School. She later moved to Monterey, CA in 1961, where she met and married her loving husband Masa Nuki in 1962. They celebrated 59 happy years together.
Rosie leaves behind her son Bradley Nuki, of Salinas, California and daughter Tricia Nuki, Chico, California, grandchildren, Sam Nuki (Leah) Molly Nuki and Ellie Burke, one great-granddaughter Melody, sister Kathy Tumilty of Vinton, Iowa, sister-in-law Joyce Ransom also of Vinton and several nieces, nephews, cousins and family members in many states. She also leaves behind two very special loved Uncles, Warren Barr, 99 of the Keystone Nursing Center and Charles Weatherholt, 95 of Tell City, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mas, parents Herb Sr. and Leona Ransom, brother Herb Ransom Jr. and aunt Bernadine Barr.
