Shirley Anne Martin, 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Vinton Lutheran Home, following complications of a stroke. Private family services will be held at a later date. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, is caring for Shirley's family.

Shirley was born March 15, 1934, in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of Howard and Josephine (Ross) Dees. She attended school in Amarillo, TX, graduating from St. Mary's Academy and Amarillo College. On March 25, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Daniel Martin in Clovis, NM. Throughout her years of employment, Shirley was an administrative assistant for various businesses.

Leisure time found Shirley enjoying boating, fishing, playing the piano or organ, singing, and spending time with family. Participating in church activities and sharing her love of God were very important to Shirley.

Left to cherish Shirley's memory are her son, Tony (GillenKeogh) Martin of Redmond, WA; daughter, Teresa Lindsey of Vinton; four grandchildren: Jeremy (Karen) Nichol of Independence, Mike (Holly) Nichol of Newhall, Sarah (Jon) Skipworth of Renton, WA, and Drew (Olivia) Martin of Port Orchard, WA; six great-grandchildren: Kenedy (Nick) Armell, Alyssa Lee, Amity Nichol, Karsyn Nichol, Piper and Heidi Skipworth; two great-great-grandchildren: Karver and Korbyn; sister, Celia Walsh of Meza, AZ; niece, Heather (Ryan)Hernandez of Mesa, AZ; and nephew, Rich (Wendy) Tuz of Chandler, TX.

Preceding Shirley in death were her parents; and husband of 68 years, Dan.
